It's All But a Plain Post

If we want to post something in our blog then we have to think if it is interesting or not, education or not, or whatever. A plain post for me is a post where there are no images and videos in your post and it's all plain text post. If we write a novel then it is a plain post with no images. Have you seen a book of novel with images on it? Maybe on the cover but not on the pages.

I don't plan to make this a plain post blog and adding picture to this blog would be lovely. I think there will be an advantages and disadvantages of making a blog with a purely plain post. We may put some link to an image on our post and it will redirect to the image link.

Writing a diary in your notebook can be a plain post or not but likely it will be a plain post. Post and writing I think is the same and posting is widely used in blogging than the term writing.

I plan to post this in whatever post category and I don't know if it really fits in this category. As of this writing, I have made a plain post.

How to Access Smartbro Canopy

I am not sure if you are allowed to access a smartbro canopy. I am not already a smartbro subscriber but I was a smartbro subscriber before and I have a terrifying experiences with them. Anyway here is how to access the smartbro canopy.

1. For windows xp you just have to go to your Local Area Connection so just click Control Panel - Network Connection- then the Local Area Connection. Right click the local area connection then in the General tab click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and the properties.

2. Input this in TCP/IP properties. Ip address is 169.254.3.3 and subnet mask is 255.255.0.0.

3. Click ok

4. Open your internet browser, you choose what you like and I prefer mozilla firefox. Enter this numbers in the address bar 169.254.1.1 and that's all.

If you cannot open the canopy antenna then you have to try the procedure below.

1. Set your IP to 10.20.30.40 and subnet mask to 255.0.0.0

2. You have to run cmd. In windows xp you have to click start - then run - then type cmd

3. In the cmd window type arp -a. Arp -a will display the IP addresses connected to your network. Look for the IP address that begins with 10 like 10.xxx.xx.xx. Note: your Canopy address is not the one with 10.0.0.1.

4. Input the IP address in the web browser and now that's it. You can now access the smartbro canopy

No PLDT DSL Connection for 5 Days

I came home in a night and open my computer and connected to the internet but I wasn't able to connect to the internet. I waited for few minutes but still I hadn't managed to connect to the internet. I had a dial up account which I bought for 100 pesos($2 estimate) , which is good for 20 hours. I used the dial up internet and was able to connect to the internet. Aside from dial up internet, I also have a smart bro usb internet which I bought for 1500 pesos($33) and loaded with free 120 hours of internet but the 120 hours only good for 1 month.

I called the customer hotline in Friday night and a girl answered me and she asked if there is a light in the dsl zyxel model. I viewed the modem and there was no light in the dsl section. I don't know what was the reason why the dsl section of the modem didn't light but one thing is understandable is that if there is no light in the dsl section then there is no internet connection. The next day Saturday I called again the customer hotline and asked about the status of my internet but still my internet status is still pending. In Monday I called again the customer hotline and asked what was the reason why the light in the dsl section of the zyxel modem didn't light but the customer hotline agent answered that only the technical team knows.

In Tuesday night luckily I got back my internet and I thought the zyxel modem was damaged. This was the first time that happened to me. In the next day, Wednesday night, again I got no internet but this time the light indicator of the dsl section in the zyxel model was still on. I wonder why I didn't had an internet even the light indicator in the dsl section. I just didn't bother to call the customer hotline but in the morning which is now, I got back my internet connection.

I overheard my neighbor saying about my pldt dsl internet disconnectivity. It seems he is a master in fraternity and he has someone working in the PLDT technical field who can make my internet disconnect. I don't know what was the name of their fraternity though. I hope pldt would investigate on this and I am living in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines.
